The first step has been taken!

According to a report in last night's Bloomberg Law's Daily Labor Report, the U.S. Department of Labor has drafted proposed overtime regulations and has sent them for review to the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. 

The article says it is unclear how well-staffed the Office is right now, what with the shutdown, and there are other preliminary steps that will have to be taken. So we still don't really know when the proposed regulations will be issued.

But at least we're making progress!
