FINRA Requests Comment On FinTech Innovation

FINRA is seeking comments on "rules or administrative processes [that] could be modified to better support fintech innovation without adversely affecting investor protection or market integrity." Specifically, FINRA is requesting comments from market participants and the broader public on three topics: (i) the provision of data aggregation services for investors, (ii) supervisory processes regarding the use of artificial intelligence and (iii) the development of a taxonomy-based, machine-readable rulebook.

Comments must be received by October 12, 2018.
