Toward implementing its master plan for offshore wind, New York State's Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will procure approximately 800 MW (and up to 2400 MW) of offshore wind under a solicitation scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2018. NYSERDA indicates that it will issue a related request for information on July 20, 2018 that will be followed by a three-hour technical conference (registration is required) scheduled for July 23, 2018.
The NYSERDA's announcement follows the July 12 order of the state's Public Service Commission that included the related offshore wind standard and procurement framework (including phasing) for such procurement.
