CFTC Chair Hires New Senior Counsel

CFTC Chair J. Christopher Giancarlo named Matthew A. Daigler as Senior Counsel. In
his new role, Mr. Daigler's responsibilities will include
advising the Chair on the CFTC's agenda for swaps regulation
reform.
Prior to joining the CFTC, Mr. Daigler was an Associate at Allen
& Overy LLP. He previously served the SEC as Senior Special
Counsel for two offices within the Division of Trading and
Markets.
Mr. Giancarlo noted Mr. Daigler's "extensive work"
on issues related to the
Dodd-Frank Act and cross-border matters.
