ATLANTA—Womble Bond Dickinson's Brent Clinkscale took part in the inaugural Global Arbitration Review Live Atlanta conference.

Clinkscale took part in a panel discussion on "The Year in Review—Cases, Institutional Developments, Politics." Panelists discussed the most significant recent developments within and outside the US pertaining to international commercial arbitration. They also spoke about what international arbitration trends moving forward, and how recent political developments (such as Brexit and the election of Donald Trump) changed or will change the landscape of international arbitration.

Joining Clinkscale in the panel discussion were Chiann Bao of Skadden Arps, Olena Perepelynska of Integrites and José Feris of Squire Patton Boggs. Alston & Bird's Andrew Tuck moderated the panel discussion.

The GAR Live Atlanta conference took place March 6 at the Georgia State University College of Law.

Brent Clinkscale is a veteran litigator and advocate in both trials and arbitrations and has tried numerous cases in both federal and state courts. Clinkscale's concentration is in business litigation, including both domestic and international arbitrations. He is a partner in Womble Bond Dickinson's Greenville, S.C. office. He serves on the AtlAS Executive Committee of and is a member of the consulting group for the American Law Institute Restatement of the U.S. Law on International Commercial Arbitration. Also as a member of the International Arbitration Committee of the ABA Section of International Law, Clinkscale is serving as co-editor for the Committee's 2018 newsletter which will be a series of articles on the impact of the Restatement of the US Law on International Commercial Arbitration.
