FTC Acting Chairman Maureen K. Ohlhausen released a summary of the FTC's major accomplishments over the last year.   

On the consumer protection side, here's what she saw as most significant:

  1. The FTC brought or settled 109 cases;
  2. The FTC distributed $269 million to over 3 million consumers;
  3. The FTC won a $280 million ruling against Dish Network (in a telemarketing case); and
  4. The FTC cracked down on student loan scams.
