FTC Acting Chairman Maureen K. Ohlhausen released a summary of the FTC's major accomplishments over the last year.
On the consumer protection side, here's what she saw as most significant:
- The FTC brought or settled 109 cases;
- The FTC distributed $269 million to over 3 million consumers;
- The FTC won a $280 million ruling against Dish Network (in a telemarketing case); and
- The FTC cracked down on student loan scams.
