President Donald J. Trump nominated Robert Jackson to be a Commissioner on the SEC.

Mr. Jackson is a Democrat and a Columbia Law School Professor and Director of the Program on Corporate Law and Policy. Previously, he served as a senior advisor at the U.S. Treasury Department and worked in the executive compensation department at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. Mr. Jackson also co-chaired a committee that petitioned the SEC to implement rules requiring public companies to disclose corporate spending on politics.
