The MSRB announced the election of several officers and members of the Board of Directors (the "Board"). Davenport & Company Executive Vice President Lucy Hooper will serve as Chair of the Board, and Goldman Sachs Managing Director Arthur Miller will serve a second term as Vice Chair. Five new members were elected to the Board.

The Board, which has 11 independent public members and 10 members from firms regulated by the MSRB, is responsible for establishing regulatory policies and overseeing MSRB operations. MSRB Executive Director Lynnette Kelly said that the new leadership represents a "strategic combination of market expertise and continuity," which, in turn, will support recently revised strategic goals of the MSRB.

The terms for the new officers and board members will begin on October 1, 2017.
