Daniel Tranen (Partner-Edwardsville) was published in the Oct – Nov 2016 issue of CHART Exchange on the subject of advice provided by coverage lawyers in the coverage determination process.  In "Some Friendly 'Advice of Counsel,'" Daniel explains that "so long as the lawyer is not acting in the capacity of a 'claims adjuster,' the advice provided by coverage lawyers to the insurer or its representatives is generally protected by the attorney-client privilege."
