Several conservative groups are demanding the resignation of the Ft. Worth School superintendent for allowing transgender students use of the rest rooms of their gender identification, but the attorney who wrote the policy says the way Title IX and other federal non discrimination laws are currently being interpreted, broader rights for transgenders are going to become far more widespread.

"I do believe we are at the beginning of a period of time in which the law is going to be evolving rather quickly to allow more rights for more individuals," Katie Anderson, an attorney with the firm of Strasburger & Price in Dallas and outside counsel to the Fort Worth Independent School District told News radio 1200 WOAI.  "The law will respect these beliefs.  I think we will more and more see the court opinions holding and interpreting Title IX as the Office of Civil Rights has already done."
