The documentary Amazing Grace featuring Aretha Franklin, may still have a chance to premier at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival after Robert De Niro offered to speak with Franklin's attorneys to help reach a deal.

The controversy arose after Franklin was granted court injunctions in order to prevent two previous attempts by producer Alan Elliott to screen the film due to fail negotiations.

Fox Rothschild's Lincoln Bandlow, who represents Eliott, said that "it's in everybody's interest that this film gets released. I hope everybody realizes we're on the same page about that desire."
