A committee is set to give recommendations to the Senate on whether or not to directly remove Attorney General Kathleen Kane under Article VI, Section 7 of the Pennsylvania Constitution.
The Committee, which consists of four of Kane's "top deputies," is expected to give testimony about how her suspended law license has affected the functionality of the office.
A leaked memo containing the signatures of all four committee members is suggesting that they do not believe she can fulfill most of her duties, despite claiming herself that she can.
Fox Rothschild ethics attorney and partner Beth Weisser, was asked if an attorney general can legally do her job with having a law license.
"I think there's an argument to be made that an individual with a suspended law license is still a quote member of the bar," she said.
