William Bogot and Donna B. More was featured in The American Lawyer article, "Pot Luck: Marijuana Legalization Drives Budding Practices." Full text can be found in the July, 27 2015, issue, but a synopsis is noted below.

As the popularity of legalizing marijuana, in some form or another, escalates throughout the country, many AM 200 firms are now breaking out of their shell and into the world of marijuana law.

Firms are testing out the water in different fashions; some jumping right and making a splash with a marijuana practice while others are just dipping their toes in the water and mixing it with similar practices such as alcohol and gambling.

William Bogot and Donna B. More, who were recently hired in the Chicago office of Fox Rothschild, advise clients on Illinois' Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act. "One of the things that attracted clients to us was the fact that we primarily do a lot of gambling, casino-type work, which is highly regulated," Bogot says.

Bogot goes on to explain the lengthy process of convincing his old firm, Nixon Peabody to allow him and More to advise clients regarding marijuana. "Smaller firms jump right in," he says.
