William Bogot and Donna More were featured in the Bloomberg article, "Big Law Eyeing Marijuana Space." Full text can be found in the May 28, 2015, article, but a synopsis is below.

Larger, well-funded firms are slowly starting to join the many smaller firms that have been in the marijuana litigation field for as long as a few years.

William Bogot points out that the clients are not as one would expect. "These are business people. There are no stoned-out hippies," he said.

Fox Rothschild is also strengthening their practice in this area. Donna B. More and Bogot joined the firm with the opening of Fox's Chicago office.

Prior to joining the firm, More worked as a prosecutor for the state and federal levels, and both served as advisers for the Illinois Gaming Board, a state agency. With the legalization of medical marijuana in Illinois in 2013, More and Bogot started in marijuana practice as it is highly-regulated much like gaming law.

About a third of their time is spent helping entrepreneurs in the field deal with the great amount of related regulation. The Illinois Department of Agriculture started granting licenses to cultivators this year, which will eventually lead to the opening of dispensaries.
