The workshop will take place in Washington, D.C., and will focus on recent developments related to healthcare provider organization and payment models that may affect competition in the provision of healthcare services. Specific topics for discussion will include:

  • Alternatives to traditional fee-for-service payment models
  • Trends in provider consolidation
  • Trends in provider network and benefit design strategies
  • Early observations regarding health insurance exchanges
