The U.S. attorney's office is asking a federal judge to dismiss all charges filed against two former Eli Lilly scientists who have been accused of stealing company trade secrets and sharing them with a competitor in China.

The decision comes more than a year after a federal grand jury indicted Eli Lilly's former senior biologists, Guoqing Cao and Shuyu "Dan" Li, on charges of stealing trade secrets and passing the proprietary information to one of China's largest drug companies.

Guoqing Cao is represented by Alain Leibman.
