GAO Releases Report On Maritime Cybersecurity

The Government Accountability Office ("GAO") released a report on June 5 stating that the
Department of Homeland Security ("DHS"), the U.S. Coast
Guard, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency need to more
effectively address maritime cybersecurity. According to the
report, efforts to address cybersecurity in the maritime port
environment have been "limited" and generally have not
identified or addressed potential maritime cyber-related threats or
vulnerabilities.
