As we previously posted here, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo recently signaled his support for legislation that would accelerate the increase to the state's minimum wage to nine dollars an hour and allow municipalities to raise wages even higher on their own, but capped at a certain percentage above the state's minimum wage. The measures appear to be on hold for now, as New York lawmakers ended the current legislative session without taking action on the pending bills.
