Scott L. Vernick was featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal article, "Law Firm Launches Data Breach Mobile App." Full text can be found in the January 13, 2014, article, but a synopsis is noted below.

Fox Rothschild has launched Data Breach 411, an iPhone app designed to help companies affected by a breach navigate through various state notification rules and regulations.

Scott L. Vernick, a noted privacy attorney and Fox partner who spearheaded the creation of the app, said it will allow in-house counsel and privacy officers instant access to state-specific details.

With no overall federal law regarding data breach notification and 46 states currently having their own laws in place, clients often get confused about the varying rules, according to Vernick.

The app provides links to all relevant notification statutes in the 46 currently with data breach notification laws among other resources.
