Julie Scott Allen was published by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) for her review of how hospital systems address medical technology alarm management. A client of the DBR Lobbying and Advocacy Team, the AAMI Healthcare Technology Safety Institute seeks to advise health and hospital systems on best practices for improving alarm safety, among other issues. Julie conducted extensive interviews of representatives from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and authored a paper to highlight how UPMC has improved patient care through alarm safety management.
