The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have released the proposed FY 2005 occupational mix public use file and the process for hospitals requesting corrections and revisions to their data. The data collected in the occupational mix survey will be used in the development of the proposed FY 2005 wage index data, which will be published in the Federal Register this spring. The FY 2005 occupational mix public use file can be accessed at:

Hospitals must submit revisions to their occupational mix data, and any newly submitted survey data, to their fiscal intermediary no later than March 22, 2004.
