Early Saturday morning, the Joint Policy Committee and SAG-AFTRA reached a tentative deal on a new Commercials Contract. On April 20-21, SAG-AFTRA will present the tentative agreement to its National Board of Directors for its approval. If approved, the deal will then be presented to SAG-AFTRA''s full membership for ratification. Details on the tentative deal have not yet been released. Major issues expected to be decided include wage increases for talent, pension and health plan payment increases for advertisers, and how best to treat "internet-only" commercials. The parties have been formally negotiating these terms since February 14, 2013.
