On Tuesday, June 30th, the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance will be hosting a webinar, "Influencer Marketing: The Regulation in Latin America & the Caribbean." The webinar will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET and it will be conducted in Spanish.

With most countries from the Caribbean and Latin America under lockdown over the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, influencers' feeds, stories and any other available space in their social media platforms are full of undercover ads disguised as recommendations, suggestions and brand/company mentions, without including any disclosures and with little control over their claims. Members of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance will update you on some of the key rules and recent developments in the region regarding proper disclosures, claims, and other useful guidelines that marketers should keep top of mind when working with influencers during these times. The webinar will also be a good opportunity to open the discussion on how the regulation on this matter should evolve in the region.

The speakers at the webinar will be:

Paula Fernandez Pfizenmaier, Randle Legal (Argentina)

Oscar Molina, Albagli Zaliasnik (Chile)

Uri Weinstok, BLP Abogados (Costa Rica)

Jaime Angeles, Angeles & Pons (Dominican Republic)

Jose Antonio Arochi, Arochi & Lindner (Mexico)

Alejandro Alterwain, Ferrere Abogados (Uruguay)
