Milbank LLP’s Felicia Hanson Ofori-Quaah, a London-based Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance senior associate, has been named a “Mover and Shaker” by The Glass Hammer, an online career resource for professional women in law, finance, technology and business.

In her “Mover and Shaker” profile, Felicia details her career path from the University of Bristol to Milbank, which she joined seven years ago as an associate. She is now a senior associate and advises lenders and sponsors on a range of financing transactions, including energy, infrastructure, and mining projects principally throughout the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa.

Felicia discusses her experiences with gender imbalance in the legal profession, and how mentorship or sponsorship can have a positive impact on a young attorney’s career trajectory, saying. “In my experience, for a person to truly thrive and succeed in an organization, you need someone in a position of seniority who is ready, willing and able to put their name and resources behind your advancement.”

Highlighting the tremendous impact that Milbank@Harvard has had on her career, Felicia also discusses the importance of professional development programs in equipping her with the skills that have enabled her to advance in her career. “I constantly search for avenues—whether through mentors or educational opportunities—to find professional and personal advice that can build my expertise,” she said.
