The Scottish Housing Regulator has announced that its new
regulatory framework will increase the visibility of equality
expectations on landlords by introducing equalities as a specific
element of landlord self-assurance. The announcement echoes the
commitment made by the Regulator in its Discussion Paper on the
Regulation of Social Housing, earlier this year.
The new regulatory framework is currently being developed by the
Regulator in conjunction with its stakeholders and formal proposals
will be consulted upon later this year.
