On March 17, 2015, the Financial Conduct Authority issued a
press release and final notice announcing that it has banned a
former Rabobank trader, Paul Robson, from the UK financial services
industry further to his guilty plea and criminal conviction in the
US for fraud and conspiracy to manipulate Rabobank's Yen LIBOR
submissions. In January 2014 Mr Robson was criminally charged along
with two others by the US Justice Department for wire fraud that
took place between 2006 and 2011. Mr Robson's sentencing is due
to take place in June 2017.
