On 29 April 2014, the Directive on the freezing and confiscation
of instrumentalities and proceeds of crime in the EU was published
in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Directive comes
into force on the twentieth day following such publication and
member states have until 4 October 2015 to implement the provisions
into national laws.
