In this alert we focus on current opportunities to comment on local development plans and significant policy documents in Scotland. We also summarise progress with the four Strategic Development Plans in Scotland.

Publication of Local Development Plans (LDPs) and Supplementary Guidance

Aberdeen City Council

The Council has published the Aberdeen LDP 2016 Main Issues Report for consultation. Any comments are to be submitted by 24 March 2014.

Angus Council

The Council has published a modified draft Renewable Energy Community Benefit Policy for consultation. Any comments are to be submitted by 14 March 2014.

City of Edinburgh Council

The Council's consultation on the draft masterplan for the Edinburgh BioQuarter ends on 28 February 2014.

Falkirk Council

The Council has submitted the Proposed Falkirk LDP to Scottish Ministers for Examination.

Moray Council

The Council has approved the Proposed Moray LDP for consultation starting 7 March 2014. Any comments are to be submitted by 2 May 2014.

Perth and Kinross Council

The Council formally adopted the Perth and Kinross LDP on 3 February 2014.

Scottish Borders Council

The Council's consultation on the Proposed LDP ends on 3 March 2014.

The Council has also published Supplementary Guidance: Draft Harbour Road Eyemouth Development Framework for consultation. Any comments are to be submitted by 12 March 2014.

Shetland Islands Council

The Council have published draft Supplementary Guidance - Shetland Islands' Marine Spatial Plan for consultation. Any comments are to be submitted by 11 April 2014.
