The Lord Chancellor has confirmed that yesterday's (11 July 2013) decision by the Court of Session to give the green light to the introduction of Tribunal fees on 29 July will apply to the whole of the UK, not just Scotland.

However, there may still be another twist to this tale. In England, the High Court has agreed to fast track UNISON's application for Judicial Review of the new fee structure. The union will be told by 22 July, at the very latest, whether or not they can proceed with their application. UNISON have stated that they have been given an indication that "consideration may be given to deferring implementation of the new fees regime" until the outcome of the review is determined.

We will await the High Court's decision with interest....
