Maria Miller, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport,
has announced that a consultation will go ahead regarding whether
there should be any changes to the minimum percentage of proceeds
which society lotteries, such as the Health Lottery, must return to
good causes.
The current minimum is 20% and the consultation will look at
this and other ways to ensure that the burgeoning lottery market
delivers the greatest possible benefit to good causes.
