The European Commission are holding an online public consultation on cloud computing, and are seeking comments, suggestions and feedback from general members of the public, businesses and public administrators.

Cloud computing is an internet-based service whereby businesses and individuals can store and access all kinds of data online.  This relatively new delivery model for IT services is already widely used and its use is only expected to heighten in coming years, given the potential for lowered costs and increased efficiency.

The Commission is requesting everyone with an interest in cloud computing to share their comments, advice, experiences and expectations with the Commission and all the results of this public consultation will be used for the Cloud Computing Strategy, which will be presented by the Commission next year.

If you are a current or potential cloud user and wish to participate in the consultation, please click here.
