Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock has amended the
Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Classification of Pharmacological
Active Agents for Animal Products and Maximum Residue Levels
On 15 February 2016; Ministry of Food, Agriculture and
Livestock has amended the Turkish Food Codex Regulation on
Classification of Pharmacological Active Agents for Animal Products
and Maximum Residue Levels (the ''Regulation''), which aims to maintain
food safety by controlling the maximum residue levels of
pharmacological active agents in accordance with the international
Pursuant to the amendments, scope of the Regulation in relation
to some active agents; determinant residue types, applicable animal
species and maximum residue levels sections are extended. Also, the
following new agents are included into the Regulation;

the deadline for harmonizing its production and compliance is
designated as 01.03.2016.
