The IP survey conducted by Managing Intellectual Property is
described as the industry's "biggest, oldest and most
detailed analysis of the leading patent firms worldwide." Each
year the publication conducts a comprehensive, five-month long
survey of the world IP market, which in turn provides a unique
perspective on IP practice – based on the experiences of
hundreds of clients and practitioners from the Asia-Pacific region,
Latin America, Europe and Africa. The results of this survey
are collated to produce a list of global rankings, divided
according to territory and with categories covering patent
prosecution and contentious matters.
Spoor & Fisher has been accorded Top Tier status in South
Africa in both the "Patent Prosecution" and "Patent
Contentious" categories. This is not the first time that
Spoor & Fisher has achieved this ranking and it has already won
a "Top IP Firm in South Africa" rating in a a number of
previous MIP surveys. Service excellence and client
satisfaction are key performance indicators for the firm and it is
gratifying to see that a respected independent survey once again
has delivered such a positive response.
Rankings in the fields of trade marks and copyright will be
announced in the March and April issues of the publication –
and the Spoor & Fisher team awaits the results with keen
anticipation.
