Leading Isle of Man law firm DQ Advocates ("DQ") recently attended another leading European business aviation industry event.

The European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition ("EBACE") took place in Geneva, Switzerland from 24 to 26 May 2016, with 13,000 attendees, 500 exhibitors, education sessions and networking events. DQ's top ranked aviation team has been attending EBACE for many years and considers it one of the most important events on the industry calendar.

Stephen Dougherty, director, and Matthew Kinrade, associate, attended EBACE in order to meet existing and potential clients, connect with fellow industry professionals and promote the Isle of Man and its highly successful aircraft registry.

EBACE saw cautiously optimistic sales forecasts from some of the industry's leading manufacturers and a mood of optimism amongst attendees. Of particular interest was the announcement at a press conference held at EBACE that the headline-grabbing HondaJet had received certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency. A HondaJet registered in the Isle of Man was prominently positioned in the EBACE static display.
