The Irish Companies Registration Office has confirmed that the
launch of a central beneficial ownership register for companies and
industrial and provident societies will be delayed to Q4 2017. The
delay has occurred as a result of the ongoing debate at European
level in relation to the issue of public access to beneficial
ownership registers and the privacy implications of such
access.
