- Shell has performed an embarrassing U-turn over a law suit threat by UK shareholders in Royal Dutch Petroleum – the tax liability "refusnicks" who rejected Shell’s "final" offer arising from the RD/Shell unification.
- Shell is now faced with a consequential law suit threat by disgruntled UK shareholders who made the mistake of accepting Shell’s "final" offer.
- Shell performed another spectacular U-turn by agreeing to the release from prison of the "Rossport Five" whose actions halted the Corrib pipeline project in Ireland. The five had been jailed at Shell’s behest....
