The Terms of Employment (Guernsey) Law 1985 requires that conditions of employment are set out in a letter to be signed on acceptance by the staff member as an acknowledgement of the terms and conditions. In addition, the Right to Work Law requires all employees to present to their employers a document confirming that they are legally housed; this is issued by the States Housing Authority.
