Dear All

I trust this edition finds you well. As August rolls on, it is heartening to note that notwithstanding all looming uncertainties, Labuan IBFC continues to grow, receiving interest far and wide. This is testament to the enduringly adaptable human spirit, which I believe will see us through the universal challenge we all currently face.

Adaptability is key and on this note, it gives me great pleasure to announce that we will be hosting a web edition the Asian Captive Conference 2020 on 10 November! Focus will be on risk management in the COVID era via self-insurance and includes a global health expert's outlook on managing pandemic challenges in 2021 and beyond. Stay tuned for more details!

We also hope you will join us and our colleagues at the Singapore Management University as we unveil our joint white paper on philanthropy in Asia on 26 August. This webinar launch will share findings of this paper and feature a panel discussion linking experts from Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. It isn't too late to register, so please do so here.

Meanwhile, our colleagues at Labuan Financial Services Authority have set up a website to better serve licensees, allowing flow of direct regulatory information via www.labuanfsa.gov.my. The overarching jurisdictional website www.labuanibfc.com will continue to host interactive, holistic content and provide assistance for all things Labuan!

I hope you enjoy this edition and till the next time, take care!

Warmest Regards
Farah
