It is becoming increasingly common for clients to own assets through structures such as family and unit trusts, and in companies. But have these been taken into account in the estate plan, and has enough been done? We are finding a significant number of estate disputes are centered around the deceased's structures, making it more important than ever to ensure sufficient safeguards have been put in place.

In this case study-focused session we will explore estate planning solutions we have implemented, and address questions such as:

  • How can I ensure control passes to the person I intend?
  • What can I do to ensure my children share equally from my discretionary trust after I am gone?
  • Can my beneficiaries argue about my trusts and companies?
  • Where can it go wrong?

We hope you will be able to join us.
