Inclusion in these directories is based on research data collected from questionnaires distributed to lawyers asking recipients to nominate lawyers in specific fields. This data is combined with information collected from legal and financial media on the nominees. Preliminary lists of the nominees were circulated for comment among corporate officers and private practice lawyers. The list of nominees was further refined based on telephone and face-to-face interviews. The final list is a selection of lawyers considered to be the premier lawyers in their field.
