Last Updated: 9 March 2015

Sparke Helmore is pleased to welcome Kevin Bartlett, Partner, and his team to the firm's Insurance Group in Brisbane.

"We're delighted to have a new Professional Indemnity team joining our Brisbane Insurance Group. They are all highly respected and experienced practitioners who will add depth and breadth to our already strong national capabilities in this area", said Rhett Slocombe, Sparke Helmore's Insurance National Practice Group leader.

Kevin has practised in commercial and insurance litigation for more than 30 years. He is an internationally recognised specialist in aviation law and is acknowledged nationally as a leading professional indemnity, liability and commercial litigation lawyer by the Australasian Legal Business Guide to Insurance Law, Best Lawyers Australia and Corporate INTL Magazine. Kevin joins the firm from Cooper Grace Ward, where he was a partner in the Insurance team.

Kevin will be joined by two senior associates, Andrew Mansfield and Mark Sainsbury.

Andrew has represented state-based, national and international insurers in public and private sectors for more than eight years. His experience includes defending statutory and common law claims in the areas of professional indemnity and aviation. Andrew also joins the firm from Cooper Grace Ward.

Mark has more than 10 years' experience in defending public liability claims, with expertise in professional indemnity, medical malpractice and aviation. Having also previously worked at Cooper Grace Ward, Mark joins the firm from Triton Global, where he led an in-house team defending public liability claims.
