Canada: BLG Partner Chris Bredt Standing For Re-Election As Bencher
Last Updated: February 26 2015

Throughout his 31 years of practice, Chris has made an outstanding contribution to the legal profession.  He is an accomplished litigator, has devoted time to the public sector as an Assistant Deputy Minister during the Meech Lake and Charlottetown constitutional negotiations, believes strongly in the importance of legal education - teaching at law schools, the bar admission course and continuing education programs - and is committed to enhancing access to justice.  In his recent term as Bencher, Chris has been a strong voice for reform.  He worked for change to make the Law Society's governance structure more transparent and accountable, promote equity and diversity in the profession, improve access to justice, develop pro bono legal programs and expand services to lawyers working in smaller firms and communities.
