Many nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations have increasingly turned to joint arrangements with for-profit entities to increase revenue from their mission-related activities, as well as to seek to develop non-mission-related assets and activities through the use of for-profit corporate affiliates. While these relationships can be very beneficial to both organizations, they must be developed and structured carefully to protect the nonprofit's tax-exempt status and mitigate overall tax exposure. This webcast will cover the key tax consequences for a tax-exempt organization to consider in planning for such activities.
