Canada: Lawson Lundell Named Firm Of The Year In Energy/Resource Litigation By Benchmark Canada
Last Updated: February 16 2015

Vancouver (Canada) – Lawson Lundell LLP is pleased to announce that it took home the award for Firm of the Year for Energy/Resource Litigation and was a finalist in four other categories at Benchmark Canada's third annual awards ceremony, held last Thursday night at the InterContinental Hotel in Toronto.

This year Lawson Lundell was recognized with the following award:

  • Firm of the Year (Energy/Resources Litigation) – Canada

The Firm was also nominated for awards in the following categories:

  • Aboriginal Law Firm of the Year (Litigation)
  • British Columbia Firm of the Year (Litigation)
  • Energy/Resource Litigator of the Year – Chris Sanderson, QC
  • Aboriginal Law Litigator of the Year – Keith Bergner

According to the guide, "Lawson Lundell is unique among British Columbia firms in that it is neither national nor a boutique but rather straddles a comfortable position as a regional powerhouse, addressing clients through its offices in Vancouver in British Columbia, Calgary in Alberta, and Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories."

Benchmark Canada is the only legal ranking publication to focus exclusively on litigation in Canada. The awards honour Canada's leading litigators, law firms and in-house legal counsel. The nominees are sourced from both firm submissions and peer review. The shortlist and winners are the culmination of a four-month research period that involves extensive interviews with litigators and their clients.

Congratulations to the Litigation Group on this well-deserved recognition.
