Canada: Collins Barrow Nova Scotia Launches Corporate Finance Practice Led By Partner Mark Marshall
Last Updated: February 9 2015

Halifax, NS – The partners of Collins Barrow Nova Scotia Inc. are pleased to formally announce the appointment of Mark Marshall, CA, CFP, as lead partner of the CBNS Corporate Finance group.

Mark provides transaction advisory services to mid-market companies on both the buy-and-sell side, advising them on deal-making strategies ranging from acquisition financing and recapitalizations to mergers, divestitures and buyouts.

"The formal establishment of our Corporate Finance practice underscores the Nova Scotia team's ongoing commitment to diversify its service offerings to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of our clients," says Mark.

"At the same time, by serving to anchor these services in Eastern Canada, in tandem with our counterpart in Collins Barrow Toronto, Tracey Strauss, partner, Corporate Finance, we're better able to foster collaboration among our national network of firms, ensuring they, too, can offer deal-making services of the highest calibre to their clients."

Tracey's long track record of consulting and executing transactions on behalf of entrepreneurs and multimillion-dollar enterprises seeking capital or strategic succession-planning advice, combined with Mark's, make for a powerful duo.

Together, as members of the Collins Barrow National Corporate Finance Working Group, they regularly convene with Collins Barrow deal makers from across the network to help them develop creative financial and succession strategies for their clients.

"Wherever in the country there's a deal to be made, we can and will make it happen," says Tracey. "The expansion of these services into the Atlantic Region is another indication of Collins Barrow's intentioned approach to extend our deal-making capabilities and service levels from coast to coast and cross-border."
