UK: Wellesbourne Matters
Last Updated: 2 February 2015

Zyda Law are representing an action group formed to promote Wellesbourne Airfield as a sustainable centre of aviation excellence from the threat of a new housing development as part of Stratford on Avon District Council's Core Strategy.

Wellesbourne Airfield is located in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, England, 3.9 miles (6.3 km) east of Stratford-upon-Avon. The airfield was formerly the Royal Air Force station RAF Wellesbourne Mountford. It is a historic, busy operational airfield which benefits from two hard runways, and is home to a number of flight schools and other aviation related businesses together with the locally popular Wellesbourne Market.

We are working with the action group to prepare representations to preserve the important function that Wellesbourne Airfield performs in supporting the local economy and recreation together with supporting general aviation in the UK.

The examination is scheduled to continue until 29th January 2015.
