Toronto, January 26, 2015 — McCarthy Tétrault is very pleased to announce and introduce the firm's 11 new partners who have been invited into the partnership. These remarkable individuals provide counsel to the firm's clients across all industries and represent each of the firm's practices. Their admission to partnership is in recognition of their outstanding advice and service to the firm's clients.

Equity Partners

  • Lisa Melanson (Toronto) has a practice that focuses on the strategic acquisition, enforcement, and exploitation of patent rights across a broad range of technologies and regulatory issues for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
  • Conrad Rego (Vancouver) focuses his practice on commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, development and leasing, and banking, corporate and commercial lending, project finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance transactions.
  • David Tait (Toronto) has a practice focused on the resolution of intellectual property disputes (patents, trademarks and copyright) and related commercial issues, by providing strategic advice and litigation services to a variety of clients.
  • Dominic Thérien (Montréal) is part of our national Competition Law Group and advises on mergers, cartel and bid-rigging investigations, abuse of dominance, advertising and marketing practices, and other reviewable matters.

Income Partners

  • Matthew Appleby (Toronto) has a practice focused on corporate finance and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, retail structured products and corporate governance.
  • Sean Griffin (Montréal), focuses on high profile, complex commercial litigation, including class action, directors' and officers' liability and corporate governance.
  • Marc-Alexandre Hudon (Montréal) has a practice which focuses mainly on aboriginal law, competition law, corporate integrity and complex commercial litigation and on the natural resources and the infrastructure industries.
  • Kate McNeill-Keller (Toronto) advises management on labour and employment issues including employment standards, wrongful dismissal, labour relations and arbitrations, occupational health and safety, human rights, accessibility, privacy and labour and employment issues arising in corporate transactions.
  • Tristan Musgrave (Toronto) has a general commercial real estate and business law practice with particular emphasis on public-private partnerships, project development, procurement, secured financing, real estate, commercial leasing and construction matters.
  • Adam Ship (Toronto) has a practice focused on complex commercial litigation and franchise-distribution law.
  • Steven Tanner (Toronto) concentrates his litigation practice on pharmaceutical patent litigation, and oil and gas patent litigation.
