Australia: Corrs promotes two new partners

Corrs Chambers Westgarth is delighted to announce the promotion to partner of Matthew Critchley and Michael do Rozario.

Corrs partner and CEO John W.H. Denton congratulated the two new partners and said, "We are committed to investing in our business, strengthening our partnership and enhancing capability for our clients. Matthew and Michael have made invaluable contributions to our clients and our business and will play an important role in the firm in the future."

Their promotions were effective from 1 January 2015.

Since the beginning of the current financial year, the firm has appointed five new partners, including lateral hires.

MATTHEW CRITCHLEY - LITIGATION, MELBOURNE

Matthew joined Corrs in 2008 as a Senior Associate after previously working in the litigation group of a leading South Australian law firm. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Flinders University of South Australia. He is an experienced litigator and insolvency lawyer and has acted on a wide range of matters involving financial services, corporate finance, securities, property and shareholder related disputes.

MICHAEL DO ROZARIO - LITIGATION, SYDNEY

Michael joined the litigation division of Corrs in 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology. Michael has a wide range of experience in areas including product liability law, investigations and inquiries, commercial litigation, privacy and data security. He has acted for a number of Corrs' major clients and handled their most significant litigation and inquiry matters. Michael is also a recognised expert in the areas of electronic discovery and information management law and led Corrs' legal process outsourcing initiative.
