Guernsey: Carey Olsen Advises On Purchase Of Major Film Studios
Last Updated: 31 December 2014

Carey Olsen's corporate and finance team in Jersey has assisted Travers Smith in advising Pinewood Shepperton plc in relation to its acquisition of a 50% interest in Shepperton Studios Property Partnership (SSPP) from Aviva Investors for £36.8 million.

The SSPP was formed in 2006 in a joint venture between Aviva and Pinewood Shepperton plc, a leading service provider to the global film and television industry. Its mandate was to hold and develop the land and buildings of Shepperton Studios under a 999 year lease and to underlet it to Shepperton Studios Ltd for 20 years.

Carey Olsen partner Robin Smith was assisted by senior associate Christine Fox.
