Brazil: São Paulo Obtains MIGA-Backed Transport Loan

Clifford Chance LLP in São Paulo and Brazil's Veirano Advogados have helped Banco Santander provide the state of São Paulo with a US$300 million transport loan backed by the World Bank's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).

To encourage private sector support, the state of São Paulo tendered out the loan's provision to commercial banks with the condition they accept an attractive credit guarantee from the MIGA.
